The Tecnifibre British Junior Open will take place in Sheffield from 2-6 January 2010.

All players MUST present their passport to the Tournament Office on day 1.
This year we have expanded the competition so that all categories play full monrad draws. All players MUST be prepared to play all scheduled matches. Failure to do so may result in individuals or nations being prevented from entering the championships in future years. I hope that you all understand the importance of this – players are travelling many miles for this event at considerable cost and can reasonably expect all matches to be completed. English players failing to complete the draw will not receive any ranking points.
The expanded format means that a third venue is required. It is therefore very important to make sure you know which venue you are playing each match. Categories are still based at either Abbeydale or Hallamshire but may be required to play some rounds at Fulwood (3rd venue). PLEASE CHECK WHERE ALL MATCHES ARE SCHEDULED TO BE PLAYED WITH THE TOURNAMENT OFFICES.
A coach will provide a regular service between Hallamshire and Fulwood.
A comprehensive transport system will run between the city centre hotels and the venues – these will be provided at the start of the event.
For those who have taken the Player Package the Tournament Hotel is The Novotel, 50 Arundel Gate, Sheffield. S1 2PR – a 5 minute walk from Sheffield train station.
Another addition this year is the introduction of a player party on the evening of 5 January at Abbeydale. The party will include a DJ and karaoke – everybody is welcome to attend.
As in previous years matches from the all glass court at Abbeydale will be streamed live on the internet through www.247.tv
