Alison Waters becomes CRY Patron
Alison Waters, the World No.4 has become a patron of Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).
CRY was founded in 1995 to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to young sudden cardiac death (YSCD); sudden death syndrome (SDS); and Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome (SADS).
Alison said: "It was following the tragic death of Harry Faulkner, aged 18 when he died suddenly whilst playing squash, that I became aware of CRY and the amazing work that they do; and it was something I wanted to be a part of.
I’m delighted to have become a CRY Patron. I feel very strongly about helping promote, support and spread the word and to help create more awareness for young people to get tested. No family should have to go though the tragic loss of losing their child so young and I’m honoured to be working with CRY to help in any way I can."
