Chorley based World Number 3 and England International squash player Laura Massaro will be taking part in a ceremony at the David Lloyd Leisure Club in Chorley on Saturday 14th July that will see one of the club’s 3 latest design glass back squash courts named in her honour. Laura is the 2011 Women’s Squash Association (WSA) ‘Player of the Year’, 2011 US Open Champion, Commonwealth Silver Medallist and has won consecutive British National Championships in 2011 and 2012 and regularly trains at the David Lloyd Chorley Leisure Club.
The schedule of the day will be as follows
2pm – The ceremony and unveiling of the plaque with opportunity for photographs.
2:15pm Juniors v Seniors Team challenge. This will see Manchester Academy Juniors take on David Lloyd Club members in a points based squash challenge.
3:30pm – Challenge Laura. Members will have the opportunity to play against Laura on the newly named Laura Massaro Court.
