The 3rd Inter County Final of the season swings into Stourbridge
Three Inter County Champions will be decided this weekend as Stourbridge Lawn Tennis & Squash Club in Iverley, Worcestershire plays host to the 12 teams who have made it through.

Recent National Championships o50 Winner Alan Thomson plays at 3rd string for Middlesex, who will seek to retain their title. Avon are likely to be led by Frank Ellis 3/4 seed in the Nationals over 45 competition. Greg Pearman o50 Nationals 1/4 finalist leads Surrey, whilst fellow 1/4 finalist Ian Bradburn captains Lancashire. With such an array of talent on show it is hard to call the eventual winners!

Middlesex will look to retain their crown with top o55 players Mark Cowley and Duleep Adhihetty, seeded 1 and 3 in the recent National Championships leading the way. Surrey will look to upset them with 5/8 nationals seed Dave Clarke at 1 string. Yorkshire and D & C both boasting in depth will hope to upset the favourites

Holders Surrey captained by Tammy Bennett Nationals o50 3/4 seed and led by Isabelle Tweedle (Nats o40 1/4 finalist) face a tough draw against Yorkshire, who with 3 current national champions in their side (Nicola Horn o45, Paula Arrowsmith o50 and Julie Field o55) could be favourites. Middlesex v Kent is harder to call with nationals o45 1/4 finalist Rina Einy turning out for Middlesex and 1/4 finalist Mandy Akin for Kent.
