As many of you will be aware, Augusts rankings were released with new changes to the system.
Whilst these changes are aimed at correcting a wider issue with the rankings, the implementation of them and the prior notice to all parents and players did not happen as we hoped.
With this in mind and after much discussion we have decided on the following –
• The new points structure will stay and will be changed retrospectively from Sep 2011.
• The change that allows you to only include 2 results from a players previous age group will be reversed for now. This change will come into effect from the 1st January 2013. From 1st January onwards, a player will only be able to include their 2 best results from an age category below and 2 best results from an age category above to count towards their ranking.
These fixes should happen on Monday 13 August, and the rankings will be re-ran as soon as possible early that week.
