Laura made her senior breakthrough in 2004 when she claimed her first WISPA title at the German Open, and since then has gone on to win a further four titles, reach the final of the National Championships, and establish herself as a permanent fixture in the world top ten.
After making her England debut in 2007, Laura has won three European Team titles with England, and reached the final of the 2008 World Team Championships.
2009 saw her reach her highest ever ranking, reaching seven. This was aided in no small part by reaching the KL semis, beating Natalie Grinham in the quarters before losing to Natalie Grainger in the last four. Coincidentally she had the same set of results against the Natalie’s in the Atwater Cup weeks later, but this time the loss to Grainger was in the final.
As the rest of the year unfolded she consistently reach quarter finals before going down to higher ranked opponents. During this time she dropped her maiden Lengthorn and simply became Laura Massaro.
