Peter is one of England’s rising stars having firmly established himself as one of the best players in the world in 2008, achieving a career high world ranking of 6 in May 2009.
Since making his England debut in 2006, the left hander from London has won six PSA Tour titles, a Premier Squash League title, four European Team titles, and a World Team Championship title, in which won the decisive match to crown England World Champions.
Peter was part of England's 2010 Commonwealth Games squad, Barker eased through his first set of matches before coming up against compatriot Nick Matthew in the Semi-Finals, Barker lost out in three games but still had the chance of a medal in his bronze medal match. Barker's class shone though as he finished off Malaysian Azlan Iskandar in three games to take home the bronze medal and complete an English gold, silver and bronze.
But this year Peter has driven his way to the finals of both the Case Swedish Open 2011 and the ISS Canary Warf Classic.
